Deutscher Fussball-Bund (DFB) or the German Football Association has signed a partnership deal with the China-based investment firm CICFH, aiming to help the world’s most populous country in establishing a football youth training model.
Under the terms of their deal, the DFB will introduce their rich experience including coach training, talent fostering and selection, the establishment of competition systems and the development of football culture.
The signing ceremony was attended by DFB President Reinhard Grindel, DFB Secretary General Dr. Friedrich Curtius, CICFH President Tang Liang and Wang Shunqing, Chinese Consulate General to Frankfurt.
“We are really happy to partner with the DFB, learning from their nearly 15-year experience and creating a football training model for China,” Tang Liang said. “We hope that we can set up youth training centers in key Chinese cities under the new model, developing a new-generation of outstanding coaches and players over the next 10 years.”
In June, the first Chinese-German Football Summit was held in Frankfurt, which saw the intensive exchange between leading representatives of both countries' football associations as well as the Chinese Super League (CSL) and Bundesliga clubs.
