English Premier League club Crystal Palace announced on Tuesday July 18 that Chinese football app Dongqiudi had become its first ever shirt sleeve partner in a multi-year deal.
The logo of All Football, the international version of Dongqiudi, will appear on the left sleeve of Crystal Palace’s shirt for the upcoming 2017/18 season.
On Wednesday July 19, Crystal Palace players will wear their new shirts with the All Football logo for the first time during the Premier League Asia Trophy match against Liverpool FC in Hong Kong, with the Dongqiudi logo appearing on the front of Crystal Palace’s shirts .
“We are delighted to have Dongqiudi as the club’s first shirt sleeve partner. Dongqiudi’s platform gives us a fantastic opportunity to promote Crystal Palace in China whilst giving their brand exposure to the Club’s growing international following and the wider global Premier League audience,” said the Crystal Palace club Chairman Steve Parish.
Both Dongqiudi and Crystal Palace did not reveal the details of the sponsorship deal.
From the 2017/18 season, Premier League clubs are allowed to advertise on the left sleeve of players’ shirts. In the 2016/17 EPL season, Crystal Palace finished in 14th position from the 20 Premier League clubs.
Established in 2013, Dongqiudi is the number one football app in China, having been downloaded 30m times and with more than 3m users providing a platform for Chinese football fans to form communities and follow their favourite teams from around the world.
