A Diverse Iine-up of Exhibitors Joins the SportAccord Convention

On April 4th, 2017, PCQuest reported that Gionee, a smart-phone brand from China, had become the sponsor of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), a cricket team in the India Premier League (IPL). It is the second IPL team to be sponsored by Gionee, the first one being the Calcutta Knights.
RCB has an all-star lineup with top players including Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers and Chris Gayle. Furthermore, as the captain of RCB, Virat Kohli has been the brand ambassador of Gionee since last year.
“IPL is one of the carnivals in India, which will attract millions of fans to cheer for their teams,.” Said Arvind R Vohra, CEO of Gionee India, “Gionee’s brand will be shown during 26 out of 52 games during the season.”
“We are glad to reach a partnership with Gionee which is an impressive brand among Indian youngsters. We also hope that we can attract more fans to attend IPL,” stated Amrit Thomas, President of RCB.
