CITIC Guoan sponsors Beijing badminton team and Beijing fencing team



July 11: As CITIC Guoan Group becomes the title sponsor of the Beijing badminton team and Beijing fencing team, the two teams have been renamed Beijing Guoan Badminton Team and Beijing Guoan Fencing Team. 

Regarding these two title sponsorship deals, a representative of CITIC Guoan stated that one of their main purposes was to promote Beijing sports and to give more teams the chance to honor their city. On the other hand, CITIC Guoan also hope that they can help promoting Beijing’s sports and develop more sports talents in Beijing.

CITIC Guoan is acompany covering the industries of finance, information network, tourism, resource development, wine, real estate, culture, health care etc. Over the past 20 years, CITIC Guoan have been dedicated to promoting Beijing’s sport. They invested in the former Beijing football team and transformed it into today’s Chinese Super League club - Beijing Guoan. The slogan of CITIC Guoan and Beijing Guoan Football Club, “Guoan to beNo.1”, has become part of Beijing’s culture. 

Apart from the football area, CITIC Guoan has also taken an interest in basketball since 2016. They organized 6 grassroot basketball games until now in Beijing. Moreover, CITIC Guoan has developed a basketball service app – Guoan Smartcourt, which helps basketball enthusiasts to book courts and invite other people to play.
