Today, at a news conference held in Xi’an, the Chinese national football team, or Team China, has just renewed its official sponsorship deal with Yanjing Beer.
The four-year extension will run from 2016 to 2019, with Yanjing continuing as the official sponsor of the national football team.
The pair’s previous agreement, which commenced in 2011, was due to expire. The extension was signed between Yanjing Beer and the China Football Industry Development Corporation, Team China’s marketing agent. No financial terms have been disclosed.
The extension was finalized just in time for tomorrow’s match between China and Qatar in the Asian section of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification. Lin Xiaohua, commissioner of the Chinese Football Association (CFA), said, ”I believe it’s a great opportunity to extend the partnership with Yanjing Beer, one of China's largest beer conglomerates. Together, we will see Chinese football enter into an exciting era.”
Xie Guangjun, Assistant General Manager of Yanjing Beer, stated that “For a long time, Yanjing has been making efforts to promote the development of Chinese football by being a strategic partner of the CFA. The new deal will see us, based on our mutual commitment, make a difference in the football world. ”
