Alibaba, China's e-commerce giant announced on its official Twitter today that Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles Lakers star, will participate in the Shopping Festival Countdown Party on 11th November this year.
The Shopping Festival on 11th November has become an annual festival for China's e-commerce. The Countdown Party has become the highlight of this festival, since many stars come together for the event.
The Shopping Festival Countdown Party on 11th November last attracted a total of 100 million Chinese online viewers.
The Shopping Festival Countdown Party, on the 11th November next, will be held in Shenzhen, China. As of now, many foreign celebrities are scheduled to participate in it, including the Lakers star Kobe Bryant, who retired this year.
In fact, it is not surprising Bryant was invited to participate in the party. He and Mayun, Chairman of the Alibaba Group, are very good friends. The two have met many times in public.
Since retiring, Bryant has transferred his focus to business. China is a very important market for him and Alibaba will become his partner as he seeks to develop the Chinese market.
Recently, Alibaba also announced that American actress Katie Perry will serve as the "Double Eleven Global Ambassador” of the Shopping Festival on 11th November.
