Meeting with Jack Ma and Wang Jianlin
On March 2nd, Prince William met President Xi in Beijing. Then he flew to Shanghai and attended British Culture Festival on 3rd. In the campaign, He talked with Jack Ma, the president of Alibaba and Wang jianlin, the Director of Wanda Group.
In the conversation with Jack Ma, Prince William asked about the reason why Ma invested in football. Then Ma answered that he intended to cultivate team spirit with football in China after 40 years one-child policy.
Last year, Alibaba invested 1.2 billion RMB in Guangzhou Evergrande, while Ma gained 50% share of this team.
In the meeting with Wang Jianlin, Prince William spoke highly of Wanda’s accomplishment in football developing. Compared to Ma, Wang Jianlin is more globalized. He purchased Atlético de Madrid and Infront Group in last two months. Wang Jianlin illustrated his project and strategy in UK to Princee William.

The Duke of Cambridge met youngsters at a school in Shanghai where premier league football coaches are working to promote the game among the students.The Prince was shown around by Paul Hughes, a former coach at Reading, Millwall and Southampton football clubs, who is helping to coach the students under a British Council-run scheme called Premier Skills.
