Chinese sportswear brand PEAK has just signed a 3-year sponsorship deal with Cleveland Cavaliers guard, Matthew Dellavedova. As part of the partnership, the Australian guard is set to release his first signature shoe.
Dellavedova is about to “embark on his second straight NBA Finals appearance, coming off the bench for the Cleveland Cavaliers”, as reported by the Daily Telegraph.
“PEAK Australia approached me nearly two years ago with the idea of introducing a basketball shoe into the Australian market” Dellavedova said in a press release.
“From there, talks became more serious in the past year and PEAK worked hard on developing a shoe that offers the type of reliability and performance that drives me every day. It’s pretty special. I can’t wait to unveil them for the first time later this year,” he added.
The signature shoe, which may be named the ‘Delly 1’, is expected to be available in Australia later in the year. PEAK and the NBA player will also co-operate in the production of a range of casual and running shoes.
