Hisense partners with UEFA for EURO 2016
Chinese electronics giant Hisense Group announced yesterday (January 14) a two-year sponsorship deal with UEFA which will see the company become an official global sponsor of EURO 2016.
The deal, which runs until the end of 2017, is the first ever partnership deal signed between a Chinese company and the European Championship in its 56 year history. As reported, the deal costs Hisense €50m to be associated with UEFA and EURO 2016.
FC Barcelona youth academy to hold winter camp in China
A total of 100 Chinese kids will attend a winter training camp organized by La Masia, FC Barcelona's youth academy, in Qingdao, according to the Spanish club's Chinese partner.
The training camp, which will take place between January 18 and February 19, is a pilot project of the football school co-founded by FC Barcelona and Qingdao Huanghai last November, said Huanghai spokesman Sun Di.
New partner for Chinese women’s volleyball team
China’s national women’s Volleyball Team yesterday (January 12) announced that it had officially struck a partnership deal with China’s Bright Diary & Food Co. Ltd at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse Hotel.
The company wishes to internationalize their products through the partnership with China national women’s volleyball team which will be participating in the 2016 Olympic Games to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this summer.
Sina Sports to partner Dakar Rally in China
Sina Sports, the leading Chinese Digital Sports Media Group announced that it has reached a strategic partnership with the Amaury Sport Organisation, owner of the Dakar Rally, to provide coverage of the event in the Chinese market.
Under the deal, Sina Sports will serve as an official media partner of the Dakar Rally in China for the ongoing 2016 event as well as the 2017 edition.
The French Football League (LFP) has agreed a sponsorship deal with HTC. The Taiwan-based smartphone and tablet manufacturer will become the official technology partner of the LFP and its soccer competitions.
The deal will run for three and a half seasons, starting immediately and running until the end of the 2018/19 season.
CAA partners with iRena to expand into China
CAA Premium Experience, a division of leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA), and iRENA International, China’s preeminent sports hospitality and event management company, have signed an exclusive partnership. The deal aims to create customized VIP experiences for Chinese individuals and corporations, with a preliminary focus on basketball, tennis, entertainment and fashion.
PPTV Sports sets eyes on La Liga side Granada
PPTV Sports, the sports unit of leading Chinese online streaming company PPTV backed by e-commerce giant Suning, is reported to have set its eyes on the takeover of La Liga side Granada, according to Sergio Fernández of MARCA.
