The French Football League (LFP) has agreed a sponsorship deal with HTC. The Taiwan-based smartphone and tablet manufacturer will become the official technology partner of the LFP and its soccer competitions.
The deal will run for three-and-a-half seasons, starting immediately and running until the end of the 2018-19 season.
Under the deal, HTC’s branding will receive exposure on all LFP media platforms and in stadia during the league’s various competitions, including top-tier Ligue 1, second-tier Ligue 2, the Coupe de la Ligue and the Trophée des Champions. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Francis Hernandez, the chief executive of HTC France, said: “This is an obvious partnership due to the expertise of HTC with its communication technologies in virtual reality and connected products for monitoring sports performance. This will enable us to offer unique experiences to our customers and to all football fans in France.”
