PEAK Sports, a leading Chinese sportswear provider, has reached an endorsement deal with Los Angeles Lakers’ guard Louis Williams, according to several Chinese media reports.
Under the agreement, the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year in their 2014/2015 campaign will join the roster of NBA stars as the face of PEAK Sports’ sneakers. Williams will be following in the “footsteps” of legends like Tony Parker, Carl Landry and Dwight Howard. However, the terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Speaking about the partnership, PEAK Sports’ CEO Xu Zhihua said “It is widely known that the Lakers are widely admired among Chinese fans, (so) PEAK hopes to work together with Williams to continue the magnificent tradition of the Purple and Gold and also to offer the fans more excellent and exciting entertainment.”
“In the future, we will still adhere to what our brand holds dear and dedicate our resources to improving design, together with further investment in research and development. (Through) launching star products with core competitiveness, (we) will strive to stand out as a forerunner at this time when Chinese brands are becoming global brands”, Xu added.
