SPORTACCORD 2024 INSIGHTS: Sport’s Perfect Storm
23 May 2024 14:34
The New Zealand Olympic Committee yesterday renewed their strategic partnership with Chinese sportswear and equipment manufacturer PEAK Sport, according to Xinhua News Agency.
The deal came one day after the unveiling of the New Zealand team uniforms for the Rio Olympic Games at a ceremony in Auckland.
The extended deal will see PEAK Sports remain as the uniform partner of TEAM New Zealand for the Olympic Games until 2024. This is the second time that the New Zealand Olympic Committee has agreed to renew their partnership with the Chinese sports goods brand. However, the financial terms of the new deal were not released.
Xu Jingnan, President of PEAK Sport, said “New Zealand is a nation that has belief in sport, and its eye-catching performances in the London Olympic Games have repeatedly provided PEAK with international exposure.”
“PEAK’s mission is to create an established international brand, (so) the partnership with the New Zealand Olympic Committee is very promising,” Xu continued.
