The Air & Style was officially announced to be held in Bird’s Nest on December 4th to 5th, with its major sponsor Redbull providing energy support by setting up a US$ 5000 award of Redbull Best Trick to encourage athletics give full play to their professional performance.
As a high-level European snowboard contest with twenty years’ history, the Air & Style started its 6th trip in Beijing, attracting more than 70 participants including 24 world’s top snowboarders, referees and working teams. Again, He Wei, a Redbull-sponsored Chinese athlete in snowboard sports, would become the only Chinese player in this contest. As He said at the press conference, it’s his 3rd time to play in The Air & Style, therefore he really appreciated the opportunity and challenge, which would advance his mental quality and sports skills.
This contest would refer to a score-based ranking system, with championship decided among 16 players on December 5th after the qualifier on the previous day. Besides, two mystery guests would be invited to hold an on-site concert, moving this campaign to a climax.
