Chinese electronics manufacturer Hisense has signed up to sponsor the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour ahead of the motocross series’ South African event later this month. This is the Red Bull X-Fighters’ second visit to the Pretoria, and another sell-out crowd is expected at the Union Buildings on Saturday, 12 September.
Hisense, known for their locally manufactured televisions, is set to keep spectators happy, as they are sponsoring all televisions on the day, with large Hisense screens also present to show the action. If the Red Bull X-Fighters riders needed any more encouragement to pull-off crazy aerial maneuvers, they will be competing for the Hisense Best Trick of the Day.
The Hisense Trick of the Day is voted for by the judges, with early expectations pointing to Tom Pagès with his Alley-Oop Flair, and last year’s champion, Josh Sheehan, who has recently completed what is called the biggest trick in freestyle motocross history: a Triple Backflip. The winner will walk away with a Hisense product.
At the event fans will be able to interact with Hisense’s new 4G smartphones and other smart devices, while the new Ultra LED (ULED) television range will also be on display. Hisense’s ULED 2.0 technology offers high dynamic range with enhanced 3D dimming and peak brightness of up to 550 nits.
The Red Bull X-Fighters is considered the world’s most respected freestyle motocross competition. South Africans looking to be part of the action are encouraged to buy tickets from Computicket.
