Four companies to take over Yao Ming's Shanghai Sharks

China University Football League (CUFL) has agreed a 3-year partnership deal with PPTV Sports, which sees the Sunning-backed sports streaming platform serve as the exclusive online partner of the biggest soccer league among Chinese universities, Shanghai Online reported last Friday.
The agreement, though no terms were disclosed, will see PPTV Sports live broadcast parts of the event through its various online channels.
The online streamer hopes the partnership would enhance their presence and influence among vast college students and lay a good foundation for these vitality users to grow.
PPTV Sports has been a big spender in broadcast rights to major soccer leagues, La Liga particularly, since earlier in the summer.
The CUFL, initiated by Federation of University Sports of China and Chinese Football Association in 2000, is China’s biggest collegiate soccer competition with over 1,500 matches to take place this season.
The event is the most participated and engaging soccer league among college students in China.
