The Chinese electronics company becomes the official consumer electronics partner of this season’s Israeli Premier League winners. As part of the deal, which will run for three years, Hisense branding will be displayed on the club’s playing shorts.
Maccabi Tel Aviv join the likes of German Bundesliga club FC Schalke 04, the Red Bull Racing Formula One team, and the Australian Open tennis tournament in Hisense’s sports sponsorship portfolio.
"We are delighted to…announce Hisense as our new partner and add our name to their international high profile sponsorship portfolio, another global brand that stands for innovation and high end products and believes in Maccabi,” said Maccabi Tel Aviv chief executive Martin Bain.
“We certainly do see a great benefit for both sides in this partnership.”
Guy Edri, the chief executive of Hisense Israel, added: “With Maccabi Tel Aviv we are convinced we have the right partner to continue our successful path and see a perfect match of our mutual brand values of innovation and success.”
As well as winning the Israeli domestic championship, Maccabi Tel Aviv also won the country’s State Cup and Toto Cup to secure a rare treble this season.
