President Claudio Lotito's time in Shanghai suggests the Serie A club Lazio could be after a Chinese sponsor, but the project is slow-moving.
The Biancocelest lost the Italian Super Cup 0-2 to Juventus in the Far East, but may still walk away from that trip with something.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Lotito was able to spend a few days in the country and set up the first contacts, with a view to finding a Chinese sponsor for Lazio.
While the club is believed to have a serious ambition in this matter, the Corriere suggests that this would be a very long-term project.
Apart from the visit to Shanghai this year, Lazio also did a tour in Beijing in 2009 when the club played against Inter Milan and secured a 2-1 win.
