Interview with Thomas Lund: to follow new trends and bring younger generations to the sport

On 30 April, Soccer News reported that a leadership group at the top of the government which was headed by important officials was formed. The formation of the group indicates that Chinese football will come into practical stages.
The members of the group are top officials of the government. Liu Yandong, the vice premier of the State Council, is head of the team. Liu Peng, director of the General Administration of Sport of China is the associate head. President of the Football Association, Cai Zhenhua, is head of the group office, and Zhang Jian, the deputy president is Football Association, is associate head of the group office.
The formation of the leadership group is as required by the football reform plan which was passed at a central meeting about national reform on 27 February and officially released on the Government’s official website on 16 March.
It signals that the plan will start to be implemented.
The group’s office is set at the seventh floor of the Football Association.
