Gao Lin, the Chinese international footballer, announced on social media that he has become the face of the soccer-oriented mobile game named Dream Eleven.
“(I) have been playing this game since (last) July, and (I’m) surprised that I have been chosen as a promoter,” Gao said on Sina Weibo.
Under the partnership, the game provider and Gao Lin will work together on an online promotion campaign. Dream Eleven will be giving away free flight tickets. Lucky users will attend the 2016 Euro Final along with Gao Lin at the Stade de France in July. The financial terms of the deal, however, were not disclosed.
An official of the game provider Galaxy Interactive Technology CO,INC. revealed that the company had earlier decided to select a domestic player to be the face of the game. And Gao himself, being a user of the game, has contributed to the partnership.
Gao Lin, now aged 30, is currently a player with Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC.
