SportAccord's Interview with Gillian Sanders: Challenges for women in sport
26 Apr 2024 16:39
Famous Spanish sporting goods brand Kelme announced a five-year partnership with China Women’s Super League, to provide full support for the league. Kelme will provide specially designed uniforms for home games and away games for all the teams in the Super League and Women’s League One, integrating different regional elements into uniforms.
Home game jerseys for Dalian’s women football club Junfeng will inherit the traditional blue of Dalian football, the color of the sea, to remind people of the past glories of Dalian football. Patterns of waves will be used at the front to be a characteristic of the ocean city.
Jerseys for Hebei Zhongji Women’s FC used bright neon green as the main color and used the pattern of a famous historical person of Hebei riding a horse to integrate the regional cultural element.
Several teams’ jerseys adopted the design of traditional Chinese chi-pao at the neck, such as the jerseys of Nanjing and Hebei. Some jerseys are designed to better fit female bodies. For clubs at north eastern part of China, snow elements are adopted on the clothes.
Kelme entered Chinese market in 2005 and opened stores in about ten cities around China. It has sponsored Real Madrid and has made many efforts in football sponsorships in China.
