FC Schalke 04 to play in China this summer

Chinese company Huawei, a leading ICT solutions provider, became official partner of the football club Atlético Madrid at a signing ceremony on Oct. 14 in the city of Shenzhen. Huawei became the club’s Intelligent Device Official Partner.
The term for this partnership is 2 years, from 1 July 2014 to 30 June 2016. Huawei’s logo will appear on the team’s jersey, at press conferences, boards and big screens of the home stadium, and the club’s game printings, posters, and official website. Besides the usual fields of cooperating, they would also collaborate on other areas, such as co-developing phone Apps.
Since 2012, Huawei has sponsored La Liga, and has been partners of A.C. Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain. In 2014, Huawei has had more than 30 sponsorships in 24 countries around the globe. Seventy percent of them are in sports.
Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. is a multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company, headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong, and founded in 1978. It overtook Ericsson is telecommunications equipment field in 2012. Huawei smart phones are a popular product for ordinary Chinese consumers.
