Wendy Digital Communication Co.(WDCC), a Guangdong-based listed media and PR brand, stuck a strategic deal with GDTV Sports, one of China’s leading local sports TV channels.
The deal marks Guangzhou Wendy Zhenghe PR Service Limited., as a subsidiary of WDCC, as well as allowing it to gain exclusive rights of new media operations and business developments of the sports events presented by GDTV Sports.
As revealed, the collaboration will cover a range of sports events such as Chinese Super League, AFC Champions League (when Guangzhou Evergrande FC features), English Premier League and CBA.
A director of Guangzhou Wendy Zhenghe PR commented: “With help from our rich experience and strength in PR activities, the partnership will certainly reinforce GDTV Sports in new media operation and business development, generating more commercial values for both sides.”
GDTV Sports is a subsidiary of GDTV, the oldest TV network in Guangdong Province. The channel will now reportedly screen two EPL matches every round with Cantonese commentaries, after reaching an agreement with the right holder in China.
