On April 3rd, Castrol held a press conference, declaring its cooperation with NBA China. It is one of the major initiatives after Castrol sponsored World Cup, and related market promotions will be fully launched during the following months.
As the world-leading “lubricant expert of centuries”, Castrol upheld its brand idea of breaking through innovation and pursuing victory, therefore it maintained its superior zeal and professional attitude in trans-border sports marketing.
In the past seven years, Castrol successfully sponsored European Cup in 2008 and 2012, FIFA Confederations Cup between 2007 and 2014, as well as 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa and 2010 FIFA World Cup Brazil, enabling it to become the first trans-border sports brand in football.
At present, Castrol again focuses its eyesight on the brand-new basketball field, becoming official cooperation partner with the world’s top basketball league—NBA.
As a world-leading solution supplier of lubricant, Castrol entered China in 1989, and now it has become the main operator of the lubricant market in China. In 1998, Castrol established its first deployment plant in Shekou, Shenzhen; in 2010, Castrol set up its first technological center in Pudong, Shanghai.
