It was reported that Hanghzhou has created a football league at kindergarten level.
The capital city of Zhejiang Province, Hangzhou, which started football programs in 2009, was among the first cities do develop school football. Zhejiang Province plans to select 1,000 schools for football development in the next three years. Hangzhou already has 93 such designated schools, with 1,981 students.
Except at the university level, there are football leagues at all levels, including the kindergarten level. According to deputy head of the Hangzhou School Football Managing Office (literary translation), having a kindergarten football league is unique in the country.
It was reported that the popularity of the football industry has led to creation of many school football training organizations.
Some large enterprises are also considering entering this field. For example, Alibaba is discussing internally about building a specialized football department to take charge of new businesses, and the new areas of business is very likely to be investments on school footballs.
