SPORTACCORD confirms Istanbul as Host City for 2025 Convention

The China Yachting Association and Chinese cities, such as Qingdao, Jinzhou and Haikou, have jointly set up a Chinese Yachting City Development Union to promote the development of the sport and related business in China.
The establishment of the union was announced at the first China Sailing City Forum which took place on November 15 at the headquarters of Sina in Beijing. Over 200 people from over 10 Chinese cities, sailing industry and media attended the event.
President of the Chinese Yachting Association, Ms Zhang Xiaodong, said on the forum that sailing is a new industry development opportunity for Chinese cities, a new approach to build city images and a new lifestyle for citizens; the sport has a strong market potential and very good policy support and that various parties should take good advantage of the opportunity to develop it and the industry.
At the same time, CYA also formed a collaborative sail training project with Clipper Ventures PLC and Sina Sports launched a sailing channel.
