German Bundesliga team, FC Schalke 04 are visiting China from July 2 to 12. This is the third consecutive year that the club has visited China during the summer.
This year, the team has sent their first team squad to play in the 2018 Clubs Super Cup in China against English Premier League side Southampton and Chinese Super League team Hebei China Fortune FC. The two matches took place in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province on July 5 and Langfang, Hebei Province on July 11.
In addition to these friendly games, Schalke 04 and Hebei China Fortune FC have officially started collaborations on youth training during this trip.
On July 7, Schalke sent three first team players to attend a fan meeting activity organized by the club’s new kit supplier, Umbro, at the Umbro store at the Beijing Chaoyang Joy City shopping mall. The British sportswear brand, Umbro, reached a long-term partnership with Schalke 04 in June 2017 and the partnership officially kicks off this month (July, 2018). The new Umbro shirts is therefore a highlight of this trip.
Schalke 04 also organized a gala dinner in Beijing on July 10, providing a reception for their business partners and media in China.
