SPORTACCORD 2024 INSIGHTS: Sport’s Perfect Storm

One of China’s leading online sports platforms, Tencent Sports, have announced on July 4 that they will exclusively live broadcast the 2018 Tour de France in China for the second consecutive year on its multiple platforms.
This year’s Tour de France starts on July 6 and finishes on July 29. During this period, Tencent Sports will once again provide live streaming, on-demand highlights and special reports about the 2018 TdF via its PC and mobile platforms, including Tencent Sports, Tencent News, Tencent Videos, Tiantian Kuaibao and Penguin Live Stream.
In 2017, Tencent Sports reached a similar deal with A.S.O to exclusively broadcast the 2017 TdF on its platforms in China.
The Operational General Manager of Tencent Sports, Zhao Guochen, says that they will use the strengths of Tencent Sports to help bring attention to the Tour de France in China to new heights.
Jean Etienne Amaury, the President of A.S.O says that they are delighted to have Tencent Sports as the official digital media partner of the year 2018 Tour de France and believe they are going to help more Chinese cycling fans have access to the event.
