Chinese sportswear brand PEAK has signed an eight-year extension to renew their sponsorship for the German Basketball Federation (DBB) until 2028.
Under their sponsorship, the Chinese brand will continue to support the German basketball's governing body as the official apparel supplier. Specifically, PEAK will provide sports kits to Germany’s senior men’s, women’s and all age-group national basketball teams until the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Because PEAK’s current deal with the DBB was not due to expire until 2022, the Chinese brand also has similar partnerships with basketball federations in Australia, Israel, Serbia, Nigeria, New Zealand and Latvia.
"I am very excited to extend the strategic and long-term partnership with the German Basketball Federation…” said DBB President Ingo Weiss, “Our common goal is to further promote the sport in Germany, thus combining tradition with innovation."
The new deal was brokered by Lagardère Sports Germany, the DBB's marketing partner.
