November 15, Beijing: The General Administration of Sports of China has signed a framework agreement with the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region government, which will see the two create a professional football TV channel in China.
On August 28, the Inner Mongolia Football Channel was approved to be renamed to just the Football Channel, a new satellite channel expected to open to the national TV audience in January 2018.
The new channel, based out of the Inner Mongolia capital Hohhot, has plans to locate its new program production center in Beijing and reporter bureau to Guangdong and Liaoning.
Under their agreement, the two sides will cooperate in the establishment of the new sports channel, office locations and production teams. In Beijing, the partners will set up a “Football Cloud Central Kitchen”, combining all-media news collections, productions, remote broadcasts, public opinion monitoring and event data services.
In addition to this, the national sports governing body will help Inner Mongolia in other aspects including marketing operations and sports culture industry.
