Ledman Optoelectronic Co., Ltd. has announced that its stock short name will be changed from Ledman Optoelectronic to Ledman Corporation to improve its company branding given that the company now is developing its businesses in both LED and sports industries. This move starts a new chapter for Ledman as it further strengthens its strategic focus in sports.
In 2011, Ledman went public, becoming China’s first listed LED enterprise. During that year, Ledman as a strategic partner of the Chinese Football Association and official sponsor of CSL started to provide LED screens and services for all Chinese Super League games. When the Chinese football market boomed after Guangzhou Evergrande won the Asian Champions League and the government soccer reform plan was issued, Ledman’s investment paid off greatly with its resources increasing in the CSL .
Early in 2014, Ledman agreed partnerships with 13 CSL clubs. The deal saw Ledman clinch 90 percent of market shares by providing LED screens and services for more than 600 top-level football matches including Chinese Football Association Cup and International Champions Cup.
