Shaanxi Province to assemble 50 stadiums and venues for 2021 National Games

Xi'an, Shaanxi Province will host the next edition of the National Games of the People’s Republic of China in 2021. The organizing committee of the Xi'an National Games 2021 recently held a press conference explaining what they have done and what they plan to do for those games. 

The local government of Shaanxi Province will provide 50 stadiums and venues for the National Games 2021, constructing 27 new stadiums and venues and renovating 23 more. Construction of the new venues will begin at the end of 2017 and finish by June, 2020, while the renovation plans should be confirmed by the end of 2017. All of the 50 stadiums and venues should be ready by June 2021.

Alongside these stadiums and venues, various facilities and projects for mass sports will be built in Shaanxi, such as sports and recreation towns, walking tracks and playgrounds,  meeting the public's demands and needs for daily exercise. 

Furthermore, five new sports training centers have been set up in Shaanxi Province, covering sports such as table tennis, badminton, tennis, boxing, Taekwondo, basketball, volleyball, golf, fencing and winter sports.
