Jiangsu Province to offer RMB 50m in sports coupons to residents

The Provincial Sports Bureau of Jiangsu Province announced at a press conference held in Nanjing on January 4, 2018, that the bureau will provide residents in the province with coupons for use in certain sports stadiums and venues. The total value of these coupons will amount to RMB 50m in 2018. 

According to the bureau, RMB45m worth of coupons will be offered to residents who regularly exercise or intend to start exercising. Coupons valuing RMB4m will be given to people who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the province, while the remaining RMB1m will be given to middle-school students from disadvantaged families. 

Residents will have two ways to get these coupons. One is to apply for a special debit card for this sports participation project by downloading the UnionPay App while the other method is to download an App called PrizExpress and register an account. Once registered on these Apps, the residents can then apply for the sports coupons and use them at certain sports stadiums and venues. 

Regarding the stadiums and venues, those available in the project will include stadiums and venues located in Jiangsu Province, some winter sports stadiums and venues in Northeastern China, plus those being used by the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
