7 Days, a hotel brand owned by Plateno Group, is expected to become the official sponsor of French Ligue 1 club OGC Nice.
As said in a club official statement, 7 days' logo will appear on the shirt sleeve of OGC Nice for all Ligue 1 matches in the 2017/18 season.
This means 7 Days will become the first Chinese hotel brand to support the club in this season. It is also said that the pair will seek more cooperation opportunities based on their shared business goals.
As an executive of the hotel group said: “Our partnership with OGC Nice is a result of our shared value in Brand DNA, including deep cultural tradition, strong brand influence and innovation capacity. Additionally, both of us are open to promote our brands around the world.”
Founded in 2005, 7 Days has become one of the popular budget hotel chains in China. Its headquarters is in the Creative Industry Zone in Haizhu District, Guangzhou.
In June 2016, a group of Chinese and American investors purchased an 80 percent share in OGC Nice. Alex Zheng, president of 7 Days’ parent company, Plateno Group, was one of the investors.
