IRONMAN announced yesterday that Jewel, a luxurious property development being built on Australia’s beautiful Gold Coast, has become the title sponsor of the ITU World Triathlon Gold Coast.
The Dalian Wanda Group, which acquired IRONMAN last November, has formed a partnership with the Ridong Group to create Jewel – the largest hotel and apartment complex in Australia.
The ITU World Triathlon Gold Coast event, owned and operated by IRONMAN, will bring together the world’s best triathletes and is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10, 2016.
The Jewel development is the first luxury and integrated living development for Wanda outside of mainland China. The property will house Jewel's luxury hotel brand Wanda Vista, which will offer domestic and international visitors coming to the Gold Coast the chance to stay in flawlessly-appointed suites; to enjoy the finest beachfront dining at any one of Jewel's signature restaurants; and to shop exclusive high-end designers in its ground-floor retail space, while enjoying unprecedented beachfront access to the city's world famous sand and surf.
