Beijing BG Phoenix Women’s Football Club has announced a cooperation agreement with the French Football Federation (FFF).
According to this agreement, the pair will work closely to support Beijing BG Phoneix women’s soccer club with more advanced international resources. Meanwhile, both partners are looking to set up football academies in China and turn the club’s home stadium Xiannongtan Stadium into China’s version of Clairefontaine, the FFF‘s famous national soccer academy.
The club, founded at the end of 2016, is expected to move from Chaoyang Sports Center, its temporary home stadium, back to Xiannongtan after the completion of its renovation project in September.
As Club General Manager Zhang Tingzhe revealed, “it is an European-standard turf renovation project proposed by FFF, which is an important part of the club’s development strategy.“
In addition, the club has also started a project to bring football to more than 30 schools in Beijing. Zhang emphasized that he is pleased to welcome outstanding talented coaches to this project and hopes it can develop women's soccer in China.
Earlier this year, the FFF and the French Football League (LFP) opened a new shared office in Beijing.
