On October 19th, a press conference detailing the strategic cooperation between SoccerWorld and Red Star Macalline was held in Shanghai. SoccerWorld is a Chinese youth soccer training company.
Following the conference, SoccerWorld’s "Sky Pitch" program was launched. SoccerWorld will construct soccer pitches on the roof of 191 Macalline malls, while Macalline will become a shareholder in SoccerWorld. It is expected that SoccerWorld will construct nearly 1,000 "Sky Pitches" in total. From now on, a “pitch” will appear on the roof of every newly-built Macalline mall.
It was reported that Macalline had opened 191 malls in 135 cities up to October 15, 2016. In fact, SoccerWorld had been trying to find partners for some time, but few malls met the requirements. “The load-bearing capacity of many roofs is not enough for pitch construction. Fortunately, Macalline satisfies the criteria, so many potential factors contributed to our cooperation.”
It is said that Macalline will offer the roofs and give rent concessions to SoccerWorld, while SoccerWorld will be responsible for the construction. At the end of 2015, SoccerWorld will have more than 100 pitchs in the likes of Beijing, Shanghai & Shenzhen and 25 soccer centers will be constructed or opened.
