On October 19th, Ding Junhui, a well-known Chinese snooker player, signed with Zenith, one of the world's top four watchmakers. Now, Ding will be the global brand ambassador of Zenith. The first thing he did was to share his joy with fans on Weibo.
"In the past century and a half, Zenith has implemented a revolutionary mechanical innovation, made a breakthrough in precise timekeeping and created a milestone in the watchmaking industry. Also, Mr. Ding has constantly broken snooker records, creating his own legend. So, the cooperation is the collision between two legends," said Mr. Lv Xianming, the brand director of Zenith China.
The press conference was held in at the foot of the Great Wall. Zenith presented Mr. Ding with a watch, while in return Ding handed over a Pool Cue, which had been in his possession for many years. During the conference, a 10-year-old child, gifted in snooker, challenged Ding. "The outcome is not important because we just intend to encourage more Chinese young people to dedicate themselves to snooker," smiled Ding as he talked about the special competition. At the same time, Mr. Lv announced that Zenith have committed to promoting snooker with Ding in the future.
