Evergrande, the winners of the Asian Champions League in 2013, top the table with 70 points from 30 rounds, three points ahead of the runners-up Beijing Guoan.
Before today’s last round, Evergrande only needed a draw to retain the title and they made it in the end.
Luneng opened the scoring in the 12th minute as Liu Binbin finished an one to one and blasted the ball into the back of the net.
Evergrande equalized in the 43rd minute with Brailian international Elkeson’s long range shot.
