Chinese brand Sockatyes have agreed with Spanish football’s LFP to promote a video game brand on their products which are adopted by about 24 clubs in the league.
Under the agreement, 13 top-flight clubs will have branding of the game Pro Evolution Soccer on the Sockatyes elasticated support bands. The clubs include Atletico Madrid. A total of 24 teams will participate in the promotion.
During the game, players will be seen wearing socks that have the branding.
Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer has been a top sports title for many years across all formats including Ps4 Xbox one and Pc.
Sockatyes signed agreement with La Liga in October 2014, which gave it exclusive rights of advertising distribution for three seasons from 2014 to 2017.
The brand mainly provides elasticated support bands for teams. The product is verified by FIFA and is said to be able to better protect player’s legs.
