Former NBA star Doug Christie is soon to start his China tour to promote Sacramento Kings’ Golden 1 Center. The tour will take in three Chinese cities from 18 – 21 March, according to a report on Chinese web portal Netease.
The report says Doug Christie will promote Sacramento King’s EB-5 program in Beijing, Shenyang and Changchun where he will meet investors and supporters. The project, which will see the NBA side build a new basketball arena, is now an opportunity for Chinese investors who are interested in EB-5 visas.
The EB-5 program, which is run by the US Citizenship and Immigration Service, grants a foreign investor a US visa for making a $1 million investment that creates at least 10 new and permanent jobs for Americans.
Golden 1 Center, Sacramento Kings’ arena combined with the surrounding mixed-use development,is expected to open in October.
