China’s auto brand Geely officially annouced that they have signed Chinese swimming superstar Sun Yang as their brand ambassador in a press conference held at the Water Cube.
Sun, who pocketed two gold medals and 1 silver medal at the 2015 FINA World Championships, will serve as the brand ambassador of Geely Auto, but no terms of the deal were disclosed.
“It’s a previlege to become the brand ambassador of Geely Auto when preparing the 2015 FINA World Cup Beijing. Geely Auto shares the same hometown, Hangzhou, with me, and it’s a pride for me to represent a brand from (my) hometown”, Sun said.
“Through the partnership, we’ve experienced the supports from Geely Auto to boost China’s swimming”, Sun added.
The Olympic Champion was once an ambassador of Hyundai.
As a strategic parter of Chinese national swimming team, Geely Auto also awarded 20 cars to several players for their achievements at the World Championships.
