As revealed on Weibo, Stephen Curry who endorses the US sportswear brand Under Armour is about to begin his 2015 China Tour.
Curry is nicknamed NBA’s No.1 cutest player by Chinese fans. The tour lasts for 3 days and consists of 3 legs, Beijing on September 6th, Chongqing on 7th and Shanghai on 8th.
Under Armour signed Curry when his contract with Nike expired in 2013. Later on, Under Armour launched the Curry One, the player’s signature basketball shoes. According to the latest data, Under Armour's basketball shoe sales grew by 754% during the same time frame when Curry won MVP and the Warriors won the title. UA has surpassed Adidas, becoming the second biggest sportswear brand in the US, only next to Nike. Compared to other huge deals with NBA super stars, the deal with Curry worth $5.5 million per year is pretty much a bargain to UA.
