Linglong Tire, the Shangdong-based tire maker, announced last Friday that its subsidiary Linglong International Tire (Thailand) has struck a sponsorship deal with Ratchaburi Mitr Phol FC, a Thai professional football club.
This deal will see the subsidiary, as a TOP Sponsor, provide support for the club and develop sports campaigns in Thailand. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Ratchaburi Mitr Phol FC, nicknamed The Dragons, are a professional football club based in Ratchaburi Province and currently play in Thai Premier League. It is said that the club’s home stadium will be completed in May.
Linglong Tire, originally known as Zhaoyuan Tire Plant, was established in 1975. It moved to radial tire production in 2001 and has been moving to establish the Linglong brand internationally for the past few years. Currently, Linglong Shandong is an international partner of the German Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg FC.
