The Hong Kong Tennis Association (HKTA) has signed a multi-million-dollar sponsorship deal with Insurance giant Prudential.
The agreement sees Prudential return as title sponsor for this October's Hong Kong Tennis Open, while also supporting the HKTA's various leagues and development programs.
"We share a similar vision with Prudential in promoting the sport to the community of Hong Kong, and the collaboration represents a major milestone for the HKTA," Chris Lai, Chief Executive Officer of the HKTA, said.
The Prudential Hong Kong Tennis Open is one of 13 WTA events in Asia and will be held in Victoria Park from October 12-18. Hong Kong's top female player, Zhang Ling, has already been granted a wildcard into the main draw, while the winner of the Hong Kong National Championships, Amy Ki Yan-Tung, will be given a spot in the qualifying rounds.
