SPORTACCORD confirms Istanbul as Host City for 2025 Convention

IAAF Diamond League Shanghai stop kicked off yesterday evening. The organizing committee held a retirement ceremony for Liu Xiang, the famous Chinese hurdler.
Liu Xiang announced the retirement on April 7th on Weibo account. The ceremony started at 9:20 pm yesterday at the event where he has won 4 champions, 1 runner-up, and 2 third places.
He made a speech at this ceremony. He said that Shanghai was his home and the place where his track and field dream started. He was glad to have this chance to say goodbye. He said that the 110 meter hurdles was the place for his dream to be realized, but that striving for success would be the most valuable fortune in his life.
He emphasized that he had never feared in front of difficulties, but that he had to give up because of injuries.
At the end of the ceremony, Liu Xiang ran around the field to say goodbye to the audiences at the stadium.
