According to information revealed by a Cuba official media on last Friday, Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited signed a letter of intent with the Cuba Government on the issue of golf resorts construction.
At present, Cuba owns an 18-hole golf course, hoping to build at least 12 golf resorts.
The Cuban newspaper Juventud Rebelde reported, “President of the Beijing Enterprises Group, Wang Dong, along with Cuba’s Tourism Ministry’s business director Jose Reinaldo Daniel, signed a letter of intent which gave the green light to initiate the project. The letter was signed in the presence of the Chinese Ambassador for Cuba, Zhang Tuo.”
The resort will be located at the north coast of Cuba between Havana and Varadero Beach Resort. Varadero Beach Resort is the most famous tourist attraction, where the only Cuban golf course is located.
According to report, the project will include a golf course, marina, apartment and hotel.
Beijing Enterprises Holdings Limited, under Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited, was formed upon eight units of assets in Beijing, China. It was incorporated in Hong Kong and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as red chip stock in 1997.
