On August 17, Sina Weibo announces its cooperation with the Riot Games on League of Legend World Championships 2020. The Chinese media giant has become the official strategic social-media partner for four consecutive years, with live broadcasting qualification to a portion of World Championships games as well as short-video broadcasting rights throughout the whole event.
With eyes on the future, Sina Weibo would provide its event partners with diversified services, enabling events to break through their own race circle. During the upcoming League of Legend World Championships 2020, the event would be promoted through Weibo platform with a series of abundant short videos, including event review, highlights, player column, commentary Vlog, as well as teams’ angle.
Focusing on top-level competitions, Sina Weibo is now establishing an interactive platform where fans virtually gather to share ideas of sports events. Thus, the inherent socializing property of Weibo would be fully uncovered to dig out the value of sports events and attract the attention from the whole online community.
