Guoan Sport Culture Development (Beijing) Limited Company has recently held a news conference launching the new brand of Guoan Cycling and announcing the establishment of media and college partnerships.
Yang Lin, General Manager of Guoan Sports said, Guoan Cycling is set to introduce fashion, entertainment and music into the sport by using an “Activity + Event” model, aiming to bring unique cycling experiences for the public.
According to Yang, Guoan Cycling is looking to develop more cycling projects with fan engagement, entertainment and social networks, for example, products that combine cycling with tourism.
As shown in a report released by Xinhua Sports, the Chinese Cycling Association and Xingzhe, the active number of cyclists in China reached 12 million in the year 2017 and is expected to hit 15 million by 2018 due to positive factors including the policy.
With the rise in popularity of cycling, Guoan Sport also plans to set up cycling alliances to create an ecosystem of fitness and health, technology exchanges and industry communications.
Meng Qiuyu, a studio engineer from CCTV and a cycling fan, said, “As a media employee, I have more social responsibility to shoulder, that is to engage more people in the sport.”
