Suzhou New District to develop youth and amateur baseball in Suzhou

On May 4 in Suzhou New District, the Suzhou New District Cultural & Sports Center held a partnership signing ceremony with baseball training company, Batto Force, and investment management company, CORC Capital, to develop youth baseball in the technological and industrial development district. 

The three parties plan to carry out long term collaboration around youth baseball based on the exemplary work Suzhou has shown in developing youth baseball. They plan to build a complete baseball ecosystem and create baseball event brands through integrating different resources, carrying out baseball training, developing commercial partnerships and landing external baseball events.  

The initial stage of the collaboration will consist of three steps. The first step is to provide baseball activities to local companies to increase awareness of and familiarity with the sport, hopefully driving the formation of amateur company baseball teams and creating a good baseball environment in Suzhou. The second step is to extend the presence of baseball in Suzhou kindergartens and elementary schools to spur baseball development among young people. The final step is to create baseball events for young people and amateur corporate teams to achieve good awareness and a larger audience market. 

Suzhou New District, one of the first national high-tech zones in China, is located in the west of Suzhou city, Jiangsu Province, with an 800,000 population up to the end of 2017 and an area of 332 square kilometers,including 109 sq km of the Taihu lake area.

Batto Force is a youth baseball training company based in Shanghai and is funded and managed by CORC Capital.
