Chinese technology company, Lenovo Group, has signed a multi-year sponsorship partnership with Formula One team, Scuderia Ferrari, starting from the 2018 season which kicked off in Melbourne on March 25.
Under this partnership, Lenovo will display its logo on the side wing and front suspension of the Ferrari 2018 single-seater as well as on team uniforms and the arm of drivers’ racing suits. The tech brand is also expected to provide products like ThinkPad laptops and Miix tablets for the F1 team on and off the track.
Lenovo first used its logo on the SF71H single-seater on February 22 in Maranello, Italy and has made a debut in Melbourne for the first Grand Prix of the 2018 F1 season.
As Gianfranco Lanci, Lenovo Corporate President and Chief Operating Officer, said, “Lenovo is happy to partner with Scuderia Ferrari and to get close to one of the most iconic global brands, recognized for excellence in design, performance and innovation – all values that are important to Lenovo. The combination of the global platform of Formula One and the Ferrari brand is the perfect opportunity for us to further grow the Lenovo brand on the world stage.”
